Teaching as a career !

Teaching as we all know is a noble profession if you follow an ethical code of conduct. If asked, whether it is great in terms of output ? Then it can just be said that its completely a personal choice whether to go for it or not but in the long run, like any other profession, it is great as well in terms of output. Initially a teacher may start with a salary which might not be enough to run a family but would definitely be enough for her own personal expenses. These days it is often seen girls running for such jobs immediately as fresh graduates. Reason being evident enough, they feel the need to be independent and manage their own expenses. Not to overburden their parents anymore, they even manage their fee for further studies. Later after they are done with further studies, they might just switch careers or stay in the same profession and grow immensely in it. Now, the point is that it is not just a career option to be taken up initially, it is infact a great career option in terms of respect, novelty, output, creativity and quality. When one becomes a teacher, it does not remain a mere job it becomes a great responsibility. You experience a tremendous growth in your own self. You become a different person inside the class, not only you open the doors to success for the students, you do that for yourself as well. People don't really know the potential of being a teacher, a teacher herself experiences that how she finds out several different ways to teach different things and how everytime she brings novelty in her work. While encouraging the students become creative, she herself through them become creative in different ways. All this becomes a regular practice for her and without fail she keeps growing every passing day. Earning is definitely important but what is equally important is to have job satisfaction, enjoying the work you do. Teaching is the most peaceful working environment and a great platform for intellectual growth as well.

To become a certified teacher an undergraduate degree plus one- year B. Ed degree is enough in most of the schools but its different with different types of schools. You can visit the link below for some useful information regarding the same.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certified_teacher

Let's now come to the monetary satisfaction part ! Initially since you are a fresher you might experience certain difficulties in earning well in most of the private schools, but when it comes to work for central, orgovernment, or MCD schools then the scenario is entirely different even for a fresher. Pursuing or having pursued B. Ed has now become mandatory to become a teacher but that doesn't get you a government job.
These days there is a sudden inclination towards becoming a government school teacher as it gives you a fixed salary without prohibiting government laws and even if you are appointed on a contractual basis then you are given fixed pay per lecture which is quite amazing. For getting there, there are various criterias mentioned on various sites. Most popular eligibility exams for teaching posts in government schools are-CTET (paper-1, paper-2), TET, DSSSB etc.

Some relevant information is provided in the links below-

http://ctet.nic.in/ctetapp/welcome.aspx

In a nut-shell, teaching is all in all a great career option and once you become experienced then there is nothing like that !whichever school you are working in, it would just keep giving you more and more with the experience you gain. Experience is therefore a must in this field. But the best platform considered here is getting into government schools for which the details have been provided in the above links. Getting through these exams is not easy you need to work hard either on your own or you may also join some coaching classes which are available in every nook and corner these days. If your concepts are already very clear you might just get through, what you need is go to the nearest book store and buy a ctet ( or whatsoever exam it is) preparation book by a good publisher and then prepare from it. In addition to all this teaching only takes you to become a principal, a headmistress, a coordinator in future. You will experience great authority, respect and job satisfaction in every sense of the term if you carry out yourr responsibilities perfectly and take your profession seriously !

way to a successful career ! all you need is to crack it the right way

WHAT AFTER CLASS 12 (XII)

There has always been extreme pressure on students in their secondary and senior secondary years only with respect to studies. No doubt these years are crucial to one's career but pressurising goes anti to one's development and growth and resultantly hamper their career choices as well. It is often seen that students tend to follow in their parents footsteps which is not wrong in any way, but following them unwantingly is absolutely wrong. It is true that "success and hardwork goes hand in hand", but sometimes things don't workout in our favour. And when they don't it should break one apart. Not being successful enough at one point of time in life that does not put an end to success forever. Time to time various articles, television shows have adviced parents to broaden their thinking and encourage their children to take their decisions. This becomes the need of the hour to give complete freedom of thought to children and let them speak for themselves and ultimately act accordingly.

Now what comes next is a successful career ! Well that's not a piece of cake. For a succesful career we need to choose something from a wide variety. That's evident that there are enormous choices and all of them have significance in varied ways. So choosing is not easy definitely ! Because all the choices have great scope and opportunities following.

First of all scoring well, as mentioned above, is very important but as they say " it's not the end of the world". You can do so much more even with a decent and good score if you are not in the league of 90 percenters. Scoring 90%  or more is not at all the only thing that will take you a long way even if you are in the league of 70 percenters, you can be the most succesful among your peers. This is not just the way of encouraging, its an absolute fact. Scoring 70% or even less does not put an end to your career. All you need to do is, just pass your exams class 12 (XII) exams.

Scoring 55% makes you eligible to sit for entrance exams through which you can earn loads of recognition and success, that might be a topper's dream as well. There are various professional courses for which there are entrance examinations like B. Tech for science stream, like B. B. A,  B. C. A,  B. B. S,  B. B. E,  C. A, C. S, for commerce stream. Plus there are various eligibility examinations for government jobs, civil services etc. For those who have a score of say 45% life is not a bed of roses but there is always a ray of hope. One can graduate from a university through correspondence if a regular degree is not possible. For this purpose IGNOU (Indra Gandhi National Open University) is the best option available, and ofcourse there are various other universities as well in accordance with your choice of courses. But it just doesnt end here, you are in for a long haul.

The links of certain courses like-Finance Courses,Medical courses,Law courses,Hospitality course, physiotherapists course,Offbeat Courses,Fashion Designing are given in the link below-

For those who are already pursuing professional courses are already in the professional world. They just need to focus on what they are doing, rest will happen itself. Different avenues will open up automatically. But what about the league of those who secured just passing marks? What after they are done with a mere graduation degree? So here is the answer that "never say never" to hard work. What you didn't do or could not do during your class 12 (XII) exams. What is a must here, is to work hard to pass your graduation with an absolute first division which in turn makes you eligible to sit for various entrance and eligibility exams that can take you a long way ! For an example you are done with your graduation, you are eligible to sit for
M. A. entrance examinations even in the most prestigious Universities like Delhi University. But as we all know "there are no free lunches in life", it goes without saying that if one wants to get through one's own choice of course then a hard core preparation is a must !

This puts an end to your score related queries and hopefully helps you prepare well to get into the real world.

Humanities/ Arts- is it the right choice for a successful career?

Humanities is not only an option to be chosen in higher secondary or undergraduate studies. It is a stream which is studied by an individual right from the start and continues forever. Right from the beginning a child is showered with basic values both from his family and school, he is taught to understand morality, religion, music, drama, in unique and varied ways. In the beginning it is taken like any normal activity along with others which becomes a habit or rather a choice when he grows up as an individual. When there is an evident inclination towards any of the various sections of Arts mentioned above, then it becomes all the more natural to choose humanities as a subject for higher studies and further as a career option.

Let us start from the beginning of higher studies ! Till class 10 (X) the subjects are more or less similar in any educational environment, be it a public school or private or government. Even for students who completed there higher secondary i. e. Classes 11 and 12 (XI and XII) in science or commerce streams, the option to choose humanities for further studies stays available.

Choosing a university or a course is completely your choice because each course and university has its own significance. A bit of guidance can take you places. Dont ever stay back to take a piece of useful advice from your parents, friends, elders who are experienced or a career counsellor.
For students from science or commerce streams, popular choices in humanities are bachelors degree in philosophy, psychology, gandhi and peace studies etc. These and many other disciplines in the arts stream develop an insight into everything. They make us learn and act creatively and critically. There is an element of research in these disciplines that increase our knowledge about the world we live in.
