Humanities/ Arts- is it the right choice for a successful career?

Humanities is not only an option to be chosen in higher secondary or undergraduate studies. It is a stream which is studied by an individual right from the start and continues forever. Right from the beginning a child is showered with basic values both from his family and school, he is taught to understand morality, religion, music, drama, in unique and varied ways. In the beginning it is taken like any normal activity along with others which becomes a habit or rather a choice when he grows up as an individual. When there is an evident inclination towards any of the various sections of Arts mentioned above, then it becomes all the more natural to choose humanities as a subject for higher studies and further as a career option.

Let us start from the beginning of higher studies ! Till class 10 (X) the subjects are more or less similar in any educational environment, be it a public school or private or government. Beyond that one must carefully chose the stream according to one's interest and one's caliber. If one has completed higher secondary then it becomes very natural to choose a particular subject from among humanities for undergraduate or graduate studies. But here comes, the best part !!!

Even for students who completed there higher secondary i. e. Classes 11 and 12 (XI and XII) in science or commerce streams, the option to choose humanities for further studies stays available.

Yes ! this is the best part about the stream humanities which is not possible for either of the other two streams i. e. Science and Commerce.
